Chad drew 1st season this year, so his season started on Wednesday morning. So the boys got up and were out the door by 5am to head down to Mondovi with hopes of getting a bird. But it just wasn't meant to be that day. Thursday morning rolled in and the boys were out of the house even earlier and in the blind, since it was raining out and it is the easiest place to hunt with Cole so he has a little freedom to move around. Finally around 9:30am they got their bird and Cole was stoked! I'll see if I can get the video clip up of him giving the play by play after they got the bird. The boy is destined to be an announcer or professional hunter. LOL
Kenna is so close to crawling now, she gets about one or two steps forward then gives up, but every day she gets more and more determined. Even though she isn't crawling she still finds a way to get around. And once she starts crawling we are doomed, this little girl is into everything already. If she had a choice she would much rather be walking. She's pulling herself up and she's taking steps if you hold her hands, she would definitely prefer to walk. But mostly she just wants to keep up with Cole and Kinsey. Kenna is also saying "mama mama mama" and is so opinionated, ever more than Kinsey. It's pretty funny actually!
Kinsey is looking forward to my turkey season, which comes in a couple more weeks, she is determined to go. It will surely be an experience if she goes. :o) But I love that she is now getting into and wants to do it. So I am all for it! However I can't say that it will increase my chance of getting a bird, but whatever, as long as she has fun, that's what matters.
Cole had Kindergarten round-up today and it went really well. I am optimistic that things will go smoothly in the fall and I am excited to hear that they are estimating the classroom sizes to be around 18 kids per class! Summer hockey starts Sunday for him.
To keep everyone updated on Decoy, she is still hanging in there. It's continually getting harder and harder for her to breath, which is so heartbreaking to see. But she isn't suffering and she's in great spirits and she's even more attached to everyone now than ever (which is tough to believe, since she's always been a snuggler). She's still playing like she's a pup!!! She hasn't given up and we'll continue to love her up for every day/minute we have with her!
Other than that, Chad's plugging away at work and I'm working on graduation announcements, proofing images and getting orders out, along with getting my schedule set for upcoming sessions.
Until next time...
Chad's bird weighed in at 24.4 lbs with an 11 inch beard.

Lil Miss Kinsey had to ride the little bike because she could ride around in circles on it, then slam on the brakes and slide the back tire out. hahaha You should see the bruises the girl has, lets just say she's not ready for shorts and skirts season. hahaha

Kenna kept peeking around and smiling, so I had to snap a quick pic.

Cole is getting so grown up. Ugh
