A little catching up to do first...

Chad got home late Thursday night. His drive back was pretty uneventful, which is nice, he made good time and we are glad he is home and now getting back into the normal routine again. I went with Chad's Mom on Friday to get a tattoo, not me, her! She got a really nice tattoo on the outside of her foot, she didn't even flinch and it turned out awesome! Then on Saturday I played in the Menomonie Youth Hockey Association's Annual Golf outing with my best friend Sarah, her sister and a new friend Joyce. It was so much fun. I can say I was very shocked with myself, after not playing golf at all last year and only playing a round (well a half a$$ attempt at a round) when we were home this spring. I hit the ball pretty well, not as well as I would like, but honestly that would require practice and that isn't happening, so I won't complain (well only a little). I can say I had an absolute blast, the weather was gorgeous, the girls I played with were a hoot and the drinks were delicious! To top it all off, we won the women's division and I won longest drive with a drive that was around 290 yards or so. And despite the fact that I am not often found golfing with a group of girls or playing golf with friends that have only played a couple times, I still had an absolute blast. I will admit... I did start the round off with a bloody mary to knock the edge off and possibly another. hehehe I can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Sunday brought hockey practice for Cole, another beautiful day and a photoshoot in the afternoon for me.

Kenna is cutting her first tooth, the bottom middle right tooth, it's starting to get the best of her, so I'm hoping it cuts soon! I am sure the left one will shortly follow. Ugh

Kids went to a farm for preschool yesterday. They had a wonderful time and the weather couldn't have been better! And since it was so lovely out, we couldn't pass up a stop at DQ's drive thru for some ice cream!!! Once we got home it was fun in the sun! Kinsey can't stand it much longer, we have to check out the water temperature today, she is itching to get in, but I know it's still way too cold, but she doesn't understand that since the weather is so nice. She'll have to check it out for herself today. LOL

Anyway, here's some snapshots from our afternoon!

Didn't even notice the picture below isn't straight, wasn't paying attention when I snapped it, I was getting a kick out of Kenna watching Cole from just inside the garage in the bouncy seat and Cole skating laps. I'm guessing Kinsey must of gone inside at this point, since the front door is left wide open. LOL
Kinsey decided she wanted to play goalie, well, she decided it would be a good idea to lay on the ground and say she was a goalie. LOL (No I did not teach her how to play goalie, that is not my idea of playing goalie) But then she decided that picking flowers off our azaela plant would be much more fun. Cole must of skated for a couple hours at least. He looked like such a little stud :o)
Now Kinsey did get a little more involved... I dug out a goalie stick for her so she could be, of course, a Buffalo Sabre like Ryan Miller. Her attention lasted all of about 2 minutes and then she grabbed a forward stick, which I now realize she shoots left handed, not right handed like the street hockey stick she has, and then she lost focus again after about another minute and we lost her completely to the sand box or picking flowers. LOL Kenna had a blast watching all the action. She was jumping around and giggling the entire time. The weather was gorgeous, drenched the kids in sunblock and spent the afternoon outside, can't argue with that!!!
