Snow in October, no way...

I couldn't believe it when we woke up to a heavy cover of snow this morning and it was still snowing. Cole and Kinsey were so excited, me, not so much, but whatever. LOL See I like fall and I like to prepare for the cold and snow, but the kids were so excited we had to dig out snow pants and warm gear and out the door we went. The kids and I were having so much fun I even let them stay home from school so we could play some more. So we built a snowman and had a bunch of snowball fights and I even took a few minutes to drag them out for some pictures. LOL

Chad has 1 more night of bear hunting left, although we look forward to having him around at night, I really wanted him to get a bear. He has put so much work into baiting and spent so many hours in the tree to only see a sow with cubs 1 night when I was out with him. I forgot to mention he only waited 7 years for the tag also. So I hope tomorrow night his luck changes and the saying "Good things come to those who wait" holds true for him!

My plans to come to Michigan came to a abrupt stop when the kids got sick last week and when I came to the realization that a normal 8 hour trip would be really long with a 5 year old, 3 year old and 2 month old. Especially when I would've been making the trip alone. As much I had really wanted to come home to see everyone and it broke my heart not to come, it made the most sense to stay here. :o( I do look forward to next summer hopefully spending 2 weeks out at the lake house and hopefully my brother and his family will be there also!!!

Well, I better go get dinner finish up and tend to a crying baby!
