I now have an even greater appreciation for all that my parents did for me growing up. I never realized when I was younger how much time and money my parents sacrificed so I could be involved in all of the different sports I played. I now get it and am leading by their example. Of course I could never do anything half a$$ed, I always had to give everything 110%, which in turn meant my parents did that also. Well, Cole is definitely my child, when he does something, he gives 110%, so being my parents child, I then make sure he has the opportunity to be fully involved. LOL Then add Chad into the picture, who stands at hockey practice watching Kinsey and Kenna so he doesn't miss a practice (a very big deal to Cole), while I am on the ice coaching Cole's group, he will then get home, put another layer of water on the rink to make sure Cole's hockey rink on the lake is pristine for him, most nights putting on at least one or two coats of water. LOL All to see Cole smile and give him the opportunity to continue to get better because right now he has the desire to be great.
Kinsey is not as thrilled about the hockey at this point, she goes down and plays with her boots on as of right now. She has a very short temper when it comes to things and has no problem walking away. She is definitely all about doing it her way. LOL
Kenna continues to mature every day. Although she's been fighting a cold, she still smiles non-stop. Well when she's not crying because she's tired. We can't get her to sleep through the night yet, but I am still hopeful that it will happen in the next couple weeks. I won't hold my breath though!
Cole played in another hockey Jamboree on Sunday. He had a blast and was very proud to have another medal. He didn't score any goals, but he did get an assist and he is really pleased with that! He has really progressed in the last week and even more so in the last couple days.
No big plans for the weekend, just spending time together, probably will go down to the farm so the kids can ride the snowmobiles and do some sledding. Then Friday and Saturday nights Cole, Chad and I will be cheering on the UW Stout Men's Hockey Team as they play their first two games of the playoffs.
This is definitely Kinsey's idea of fun! I think we have a future Olympic luger in our house. LOL
I was taking some pictures of Kenna and Kinsey was walking by and I quickly snapped this. For some reason she said she was so hot and couldn't wear her shirt that night. LOL Kinsey Kinsey Kinsey!
Her eyes are still blue, crossing our fingers they stay. Three kids with three different eye colors would be neat.
