So it's time for an UPDATE!!!!
November came and I got really sick, deer season came and Chad had a successful season, but the rest of us fell short. Cole hunted every day of gun season with Chad or Danny, mostly Chad. He stayed at the hunting land every day of the 9 day season, then hunted sunrise to sunset every day, refusing to leave afraid that he would not get to go the next day.
Christmas came and went also. I was doing good until Christmas morning when I woke up in excruciating pain, but I refused to go to the hospital because I would not miss the kids waking up Christmas morning. The pain tapered off to being manageable as the day progressed and we went on with the day watching the kids play with all the great new toys that they got. Then we set up the wii we got for Christmas and the night was filled with lots of laughs as we convinced my parents and Chad's parents to try out the wii fit plus. Nothing better than watching the family all try to hula hoop. LOL
January came and went also. LOL Cole started playing hockey, Kenna started rolling from back to belly and Kinsey's just our little free-spirit floating around in her own little world :o) I had surgery and I'm now 100% and hopefully going to stay that way!
February 1st brought Kinsey's 4th birthday. I cannot believe she is "4" already! We took the little water bug to the water park in Eau Claire to celebrate. She is such an amazing little girl, full of personality! She loves to sing, dance, smile, color, eat snow and get her way. LOL She is so headstrong, which is frustrating at times, but I am so glad that she is going to be independent and strong willed! She is proud to be "4", but said that she thinks she not a little girl anymore. LOL
Cole has had 2 hockey jamboree's already and he loves getting to play semi organized games. He is a proud supporter of the UW Stout hockey team now. The first Stout game he went to was with his friend Jackson and it was up at the Xcel Center. He came back from that game and hasn't missed a game since. I have to say after he went to that game we had one of those moments that I don't know if I have laughed so hard in a long time. Cole was piled in bed with Kenna and I watching a NHL game on TV, when he looked up at me and said
Cole: mom, you know what you say when the other team skates by
Me: no Cole, what
Cole: {taking his finger and pointing it at the player} you, you suck!
So, I explained to him that it wasn't nice to say that, but then I had to walk out of the room and laugh so hard because he had the most innocent look on his face and yet he was so proud of himself. What kids learn from the student sections.
His addiction to supporting Stout Hockey has now been fueled by the Hamburgers and Homework night that the hockey association organizes. We had 4 amazing Stout hockey players (Ben Bengston, Jared Britton, Joel Whiten and Branden Gay) over for dinner on Monday and Cole couldn't of had more fun! I cannot say enough about how fantastic these guys were with the kids! Cole's friend Jackson came over too and it was so cute to listen to the boys interact with the guys. The guys played knee hockey with the kids, wii and then went down on the lake and passed the puck around with the kids (Kinsey also put on her skates to join in). Kinsey's priceless moment of the night came when they were playing knee hockey. I guess it went something like this
Jared: Kinsey are you going to play hockey too
Kinsey: No, I'm starting a band
Jared: Really a band
Kinsey: Yep, here's all my instruments.
You just never know what's going to come out of Kinsey's mouth. LOL Jared came down and so innocently said, "you know your daughters starting a band". I laughed so hard, it was such a "Kinsey moment"!
Little Miss Kenna started sitting up on her own this month also. And yesterday she turned 6 months. Ahhhhhhhh She is growing up WAY too fast. She is all smiles and giggles. She is so ticklish too! She still isn't sleeping through the night yet, but I am hopeful we will get there eventually, hopefully in the near future.
So there is a quick recap of what the past couple months have been like. I now vow to stay up on the this! Hopefully once a week I can get something posted if not MORE!!!
