Ahhh, summer lovin'!!!

We are making sure to enjoy the summer days finally!!! Taking advantage of the beautiful weather has been so amazing, so refreshing and much needed in our house. I finally got out and wakeboarded the other day, which was a great reminder of how much I love to do stuff for "me" (I know that sounded really selfish, but just wait, I have more to say), but even more so it showed me how important it is for the kids to see "me" do things! Cole has been really interested in learning to wakeboard and after watching me board he was even more into it. It also gave Kinsey an extra boost of interest and confidence. So not only did it feel great for me, it was great for the kids!!! We've enjoyed getting Cole up wakeboarding, getting Kinsey skiing (and enjoying it), having wonderful friends over to enjoy the lake with us, going out with friends so the kids can ski and tube with their kiddo's, taking the kids fishing and taking the kids to a motoX track so they can ride a real track. The kids have loved going down to Danny and Trina's (Chad's parents) where they get to swim in their hot tube, ride the four wheeler, feed the neighbors horses, and bottle feed a baby goat too. They love their time with Grandpa and Grandma too, not just all the great things they get to do down there.

We took the kids down to the Arkansaw Motocross Park so Cole could ride on a "real" race track. Well, he was going to ride the PeeWee track, but ended up riding on the big track and he did great. He wasn't intimidated at all, even with the big bikes out on the track. At first Chad figured out a route he could go that had him riding about 1/4 of the track, well by the end Cole was determined to ride the full track, which has to be about 1.5 miles around, so off he went, never crashed, road it 4x's continuously even with the big bikes passing him and we had to pull him off the track so we could go home. Kinsey wanted to ride, then didn't want to ride, then wanted to ride. LOL So Kinsey!!! In the end she decided she wanted to ride, but we didn't let her out on the big track, she's definitely not ready for that. Well the kids were riding together and she got mad and quit because Cole was faster. LOL She put her skirt back on and didn't think about it again. So Kinsey! She did great though and we are really proud of both of them. Then lil miss Kenna, the 3rd child who gets dragged everywhere because her brother and sister are doing things. She was fabulous. She loved sitting out in the shade under the umbrella and watching the bikes. The noise kept her attention and she was a total trooper! As soon as she got in her carseat she passed out. Cute Cute Cute!
I am starting to think that Kinsey is going to prefer to hold the 30 second sign or be the monster girl vs being the racer at the motox track after the picture below. Kinsey put her socks on her hands, said "mom take a picture of me like this" and that's the look she gave me. And every girl wears their bathing suit to the motox track right. She had a pink tutu on too. LOL Kinsey Kinsey Kinsey!!!

Lil Miss Kenna enjoyed playing with Cole's dirt bike toy over any of the toys I brought fo her. She was so cute!
Tomorrow is going to be super busy, if the morning goes well, I am going to take the kids out fishing but be back in so Kenna gets a good morning nap because in the afternoon the kids and I are joining a good friend and her girls at the waterpark for a couple hours, then in the late afternoon I will be photographing our friends and their family. I'm tired just thinking about the day.

Before I forget, I have to share what Cole said last night. After a long exhausting day, Cole was so tired...not that he would've admitted that, and he got himself in trouble. Which then escalated when he just kept telling me how mad Chad and I were making him. This is kind of how a bit of it went.
Cole: You are making me so mad
Me: I understand that Cole, however right now I am also not happy with the way you are talking to me
Cole: But you just keep making me mad
Me: I am sure I am, it really isn't fun when you don't get your way is it
Cole: YOU ARE MAKING ME SO MAD
Chad: Cole, that is enough, you need to get your pj's on and get in bed.
Cole: Fine, you just wait, I am going to keep you up all night.

Wow, that was so not a Cole moment, he is always so sweet, sensitive and non-confrontational. With a little sleep he was back to his normal self and all was forgotten. But I laughed so hard that he came up with his reply, he couldn't see me laugh, but I so laughed.
